WELCOME TO HULL KR FOUNDATION

Welcome to Hull KR Foundation. Our role is to inspire people through sport and physical activity and to deliver real and lasting benefits in terms of education, health and wellbeing. We achieve this by working in schools, community clubs and communities across Hull and beyond. There is always lots of activity here at the Foundation so keep an eye out for our latest news which will keep you up to date with all the new and existing programmes we are running.

WHO ARE HULL KR FOUNDATION

OUR PURPOSE

Our work connects with individuals and families that experience some of the greatest inequalities across the country. The cost of living crisis forces people to make tough decisions and our supportive programmes ease some of that burden.

Together we have the opportunity to raise aspirations and breakdown barriers for some of the most vulnerable people in the UK

OUR VISION

To provide opportunities for people in their communities to become the best they can be. We work with integrity to inspire and educate, placing enjoyment at the heart of everything we do. Respect underpins all our work, and we are inclusive of everyone. We will always: Do what’s right within our local area through a sense of social responsibility​ Work with individuals and focus on what we can do.​ Use our position as the community arm of Hull Kingston Rovers to work in collaboration with local people and groups.​ Work with trusted partner organisations to achieve shared outcomes that benefit communities and individuals.​ Continue to seek trusted funders and sponsors to enable us to develop and expand our work which changes lives in positive and profound ways.​ Provide fun and enjoyment for all our participants.

OUR MISSION

Key Priority 1 Increase and retain the number and diversity of people playing, coaching, officiating & volunteering in rugby league. Key Priority 2 Tackling the health inequalities in three key areas obesity, mental health and loneliness using the vehicle of rugby league. Key Priority 3 Provide a range of educational opportunities using the vehicle of rugby league. Key Priority 4 Provide bespoke support and opportunities for the long-term unemployed and those with a disability to develop confidence, self-esteem, and skills to move into employment or the voluntary sector
