Hull KR Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with fellow local charity Hey Endo as part of Endometriosis Awareness Month this March. The collaboration aims to shine a spotlight on endometriosis, raise vital awareness, and support those affected by the condition across our community.
Endometriosis affects approximately one in ten women and people assigned female at birth, yet it often remains misunderstood and underdiagnosed. Through this partnership, Hull KR Foundation and Hey Endo will work together throughout March to help increase understanding, encourage conversations, and support ongoing research and advocacy.
As part of the campaign, supporters will have the opportunity to take part in a fundraising raffle running throughout the month. Funds raised will help support Hey Endo’s work in providing support, education, and awareness around endometriosis.
A key element of the collaboration will also see Hull KR Foundation working alongside Dr Barbara Guinn from the University of Hull, a leading researcher in endometriosis. Her expertise will help inform the Foundation’s approach to raising awareness and ensuring accurate, impactful messaging about the condition.
The partnership will culminate in a special matchday presence at the Hull KR vs St Helens fixture on March 27, where Hey Endo will join the Foundation at Sewell Group Craven Park. The matchday will provide a valuable platform to highlight the charity’s work and engage supporters in learning more about endometriosis and its impact.
Alongside the awareness campaign, members of the Hull KR Foundation team will also be working towards completing the Endometriosis Best Practice Charter. This commitment reflects the Foundation’s dedication to creating a more informed and supportive environment for those affected by the condition, both within the organisation and across the wider community.
Hull KR Foundation believes sport has a powerful role to play in bringing communities together and shining a light on important issues. By partnering with Hey Endo this March, the Foundation hopes to help drive greater awareness, encourage earlier diagnosis, and support the ongoing work being done to improve understanding of endometriosis.
Supporters are encouraged to get involved throughout the month, keep an eye out for the fundraising raffle, and join us at Sewell Group Craven Park on March 27 as we stand together to raise awareness of endometriosis.
